Worldwide Dental Accident & Emergency Insurance
This insurance cover is one of the most comprehensive in the dental market and the cost is included in your monthly payments.
Dental Emergencies:
If you happen to be more than 50 miles from your own dentist and can't get back, then you may seek treatment from any dentist who agrees to see you, whether or not it is in normal working hours. Simply pay the bill, collect a receipted invoice and brief report, which you send either to your practice or to DMP, within 30 days of the event. This will then be processed for reimbursement from the insurers up to the limits set out in the Schedule of Benefits.
Out of Hours Emergencies:
If you are more than 50 miles from your own dentist, the instructions above will apply. If you suffer an emergency requiring treatment outside normal working hours, and can visit your usual practice, then the appropriate claim form will be given to you for completion and signature by both you and your dentist. Your dentist can claim an appropriate fee for the call-out, but you may be asked to pay an excess.
Emergency treatment for Dental Trauma:
Should you, unfortunately, suffer an accident which affects your teeth or mouth e.g. a fall or road traffic accident, cover is provided for appropriate emergency treatment, wherever you are in the world, up to the limits set out in the Schedule of Benefits.
Oral Cancer:
This policy has one of the best levels of cover for treatment of oral cancer, should the NHS not be able to carry out the treatment. Terms & Conditions apply; see the policy booklet in your welcome pack.
Hospitalisation:
Benefit is paid for each night spent in hospital as a result of dental trauma. Terms & Conditions apply; see the policy booklet in your welcome pack.
